Erik Bäckström’s quiet lifestyle in Norrbotten is rattled when Joar Särn returns to town, 15 years after he was convicted for a murder that still haunts the community. Erik’s decision to dig into the old case stirs up conflicts with past friends, not to the least his own nephew Peter who is now a police officer. Soon enough, Erik and Peter find themselves on opposite sides of the escalating conflict and, once again, Erik must risk his relationships for justice to prevail.
